Mr. Naresh Gupta

Naresh Gupta completed his schooling in Lucknow and his graduation and post graduation in science from Lucknow University. He was awarded a Gold Medal for highest marks in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry combination in B.Sc. He was awarded four Gold Medals in his post graduation in Mathematics.

He joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1973 and has held different posts in the Tamil Nadu Cadre including that of Secretary to Governor, Home Secretary and Chief Electoral Officer. He is currently the Chief Electoral Officer concerned with conduct of Elections to the Parliament and the Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly. He attended a Course in Leeds University, U.K. in 1987.
